Waterways Wildlife Park - Gunnedah

Waterways Wildlife Park can be found along the Oxley Highway about seven kilometres from Gunnedah in NSW.

It is set in about 10 acres of bushland and has a range of Australian wildlife and beautiful birds. This was interesting with lots of animals but very run tired looking and there were only a couple of other people in the park during our visit. 

We saw Koalas in the enclosure and were lucky enough to watch a male peacock displaying beautiful tail feathers - trying to attract one of the females. Other animals on display include kangaroos, wallabies, emu, ostrich, deer, wombat, echidna, dingo, various birds, lizards, eagles etc 

This park also have fee barbeque facilities, children's play equipment, picnic tables, with cold drinks and ice-creams available at the kiosk.  There is plenty of parking out the front.
