A boat trip along the Chamerlain Gorge is one of the tours available at El Questro Wilderness Park. This is a great experience which I was lucky enough to share with my daughter. We took the sunset cruise which was a beautiful time of day to see this amazing part of the Kimberley. We fed fish and then stopped beside one of the sandy banks to enjoy champagne, cheese, fruit and biscuits before heading back to The Station.
You get glimpses of the main Homestead from the boat ramp - exclusive and quite spectacular. Archer fish can be seen in the clear water beside the boat ramp and hang around looking for a feed. The crew were very enthusiastic and we learnt about the history of the area, age of the rocks and saw markers along the Gorge that show the height of the water during the wet season. It is hard to fathom how much water must flow through this area when it rains.
