We have been to Hobart several times but have not yet had the opportunity to Caravan around the rest of Tasmania. I really enjoy the Salamanca markets which operate each weekend. This is a vibrant market and can be very crowded so allow all morning to enjoy the local produce. There are plenty of great restaurants around the wharf area and you can get fabulous fresh fish and chips for lunch. Remember to check out the local art galleries and amazing woodwork.MONA is well worth a visit but can be confronting for some.
The local pubs are very friendly. After arriving on a late flight we decided to walk a few blocks to enjoy a drink before bed. By the time we went home we had made lots of new friends, even though we were much older than the rest of the crowd.
